In 2008, almost by chance, Gilles and Thierry spent several days on the Ile du Levant and fell under the unique charm of this little piece of heaven on earth.
After several visits, they could not stay away from it. They therefore decided to uproot their life and found a small hotel for sale (Les Yuccas) located on the pretty Corniche de l’Arbousier.
Being passionate about music and singing, they naturally decided to rename the place after the musical piece Youkali composed by Kurt Weill. This ode to an ideal Eden, far from everyday worries, was a good choice as Gilles and Thierry have lived a dream ever since...
"It was almost
to the end of the world
That my wandering boat
Straying at the will
of the waves
Led me one day"
